View and manage measurements for parts and assemblies

Measurement Correction button (Production)

The Measurement Correction window is where you can look up measurements used for parts and assemblies by UID and modify any inaccurate measurements that need to be corrected or updated.

Note

Only users with the Allow Measurement Correction permission can access this area of Production. This permission can be set by an administrator in the Measurement Correction sub-category of the Users and Roles area of NPI. See About user roles for more information.

  1. Log into the Production client application.

  2. Select the Advanced Features button image-20240828-213129.png (the gear) at the top of the window, then select the Measurement Correction button.

    Use the filters to search for the measurement you want to correct

  3. Under Filters, specify the filtering criteria to locate the measurement you want to correct.

    Identifier is a partial or whole UID; you can also add filters for Measurement Name and Measurement Type in the text boxes at the top of the window.

  4. Do one of the following:

    • Double-click the measurement you want to correct in the table.

    • Select the measurement you want to correct in the table, then select the Correct Measurement button in the upper-left corner of the window.

  5. Under Sorting on the right side of the window, use the available fields to sort the table information in ascending (ASC) or descending (DSC) order to help you locate the measurement you need to correct.

  6. In the Correct Measurement dialog, enter the new measurement, enter a reason for the change in the Reason For Correction text box, then select OK.

    The measurement correction history is displayed in a table in the lower part of the window, including details about when the correction was recorded, who made the change, and the reason for the change.
