Batch attributes for material collection activities

The Capture Materials Activity (Materials Collection Activity) in the NPI Process Definition window supports batch attributes. When you double-click a Materials Collection Activity in a process flow, the Activity Details tab provides options for material search and batch attribute searches by part number. You can also specify the material capture mode by lot or by UID.

1. Log into the NPI client application and open a process definition.

2. Select the desired operation in the process tree.

3. Select Add > Standard Step.

4. Select Add > Capture Materials Activity.

5. Double-click the activity, then select the Activity Details tab.
   
   

   

   
   

6. Next to Selected Materials, select the Part Number/Batch Attribute Search/Add  button to search for.

7. Select and add batch attributes in the Batch Attribute List Searcher dialog, then select Close when you are finished.
   
   

   

   
   
   The batch attributes you selected are displayed in the Selected Materials area of the dialog.
   
   

   

   
   

8. Select OK to save the batch attributes for the Capture Materials activity.
